Kanye West Reportedly Believes He & Kim Kardashian Will Get Back Together
Rapper Kanye “Ye” West and Keeping up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, who recently filed to be legally separated from Kanye and therefore also dropped “West” from her last name, are no longer an item. Kim recently moved on to Pete Davidson, and Kanye also appears to be mingling with quite the roster of ladies. After Kim filed for divorce in February of 2021, Kanye had a brief romance with model Irina Shayk. After that, the Donda artist was spotted in company with different women. His newest arm candy appears to be actress Julia Fox.
The reality television star and the rapper go back to 2003 but didn’t officially start dating until 2012 when they took their relationship to the public light. They got engaged in 2013 after the news broke out like wildfire that Kim was pregnant with their first child. In 2014, they finally tied the knot and lived happily ever after until 2021. Kim said she was “done” with her six-year marriage to Kanye. However, “Ye” - as Kanye legally changed his name to - wasn’t done. Kanye publicly talked about reconciling with Kim but Kim reached out to a divorce lawyer instead. She has no interest in getting back together after Kanye publicly embarrassed her, as well as his strange Twitter rants and eccentric behavior.
According to E! News, a source close to Kanye revealed that Kanye isn’t over Kim, despite him hanging out with other women. He calls everyone in between just a “distraction.” The source told E! News, “She's the only one in his heart and he believes they are soulmates and will end up back together. The other women that he is spending time with are a distraction. He likes the attention that he's getting from them, but that's all it is.” Kim thinks strangely about Kanye’s recent dating escapades, regardless of them being rather less serious. Kanye on the other hand is serious about winning Kim back and even bought a house on the same street as Kim to be close to her and their children. “I'm doing everything to be right next to the situation,” he said back in November. “Kim is still the only one he truly wants to be with,” the source added.
Although Kanye moved on to Irina after the split from Kim, another source told E! News, “Kanye felt inspired by her [Irina] and liked being around her energy. It was never a relationship or going to be serious.” Meanwhile, Kim and Pete were spotted taking their first vacation together, and they are “getting very serious,” a different source told the media outlet. As for Kanye and his new romance Julia, a third insider told E! News, that he isn’t “overly affectionate” when they were spotted on January 4, 2022, leaving Broadway after viewing Slave Play.
Is there going to be hope for Kanye and Kim to rekindle their marriage? Only the Keeping Up With Kardashians alum knows the answer. As for now, it seems though as Kim is pretty happy with her new journey with Pete. Since Kim's Saturday Night Live appearance back in October 2021, the couple has been spending a lot of time together.
