Most Hilarious Moments From The Real Housewives Of Dallas

While it feels like The Real Housewives of Dallas has been losing Bravo fans for a few years due to lack of chemistry between castmates, the Lone Star State portion of the Real Housewives world definitely had its epic and hilarious moments. Former castmate LeeAnne Locken was often at the heart of many of the show's wildest moments. As she said, “this is far from a hick town and I am far from a Southern belle." Her departure was necessitated by some very offensive racist commentary and seemed to be the beginning of the end for the franchise. LeeAnne’s personality (and ludicrous perspective on the world) was the engine powering the Dallas franchise. Without her, even the funny and authentic Stephanie Hollman couldn’t carry the show on her own, especially after her BFF Brandi Redman also got the boot for racist behavior.

This may be the end of the Dallas housewives' reign, but the show's five seasons have been filled with loads of highly satisfactory comedic content. From the show-defining "they're just hands incident" to Brandi and Stephanie's constant reel of poop jokes, there are many scenes to pull from when it comes to finding funny moments. The Dallas womens' willingness to be their authentic, down-to-earth selves made for a minimally filtered franchise. Most other Real Housewives shows feature cast members who are more guarded and less glib. In those series, viewers rarely get a full look at Housewives' true personalities. From the frank interviews to the wild and amusing hijinks, the always fashionable RHOD women seem to have shared a remarkably honest look at themselves. Viewers really got to know the castmates, for better or worse.

This remarkably candid portrayal has come with some downsides. The series' best moments can't be showcased without also mentioning the offensive behavior that prompted its downfall. LeeAnne got in hot water after making offensive comments about castmate Kary Brittingham. Kary is pretty hilarious herself, and LeeAnne was fired from the franchise. Brandi remarkably survived a racist video of her own, where she mocked East Asian people. Not to mention, Kameron Westcott recently got flak for doubling down on some nonsense reverse racism claims toward RHOD newcomer Tiffany Moon. It's easy to see why the show lost castmates and avenues for continuation. Before the cast members' charm ran out, there were some great moments along the road to the show's eventual demise.

It would be remiss not to start with the most iconic moment of the franchise's history, the “just hands” hot mic scene. After a doctor’s visit with Brandi by her side, LeAnne made it clear that she would never be so vulnerable as to invite Cary Deuber to join her and see her partially naked. Once she thought she was out of the camera’s gaze, LeeAnne said, “you really think I want to get naked like this around Cary? How much fun do you think she is she going to make of me then? Why is it so f**cking important to Cary to come for me all the time? The RHOD star added, "because I’m going to do something.”

LeeAnne continued in hushed tones, “She’s going to come for me one day and it isn’t going to be pretty. Her husband gets his d**k sucked at The Round-Up. I know the boys who did it. I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth...I grew up with a lot of things in my hands they're not knives...they’re just hands. But they work quite well.” LeeAnne has remarked that her “childhood was so riddled with crap” after years working at the circus with her mother. She can be very defensive as a result. However, when the threats and broken glass turned to belligerently racist commentary, that heralded the end of her Bravo tour.

At a lunch gathering in Dallas, the often bizarre LeeAnne from RHOD arrived dressed in a full-body hot dog costume and was ready to fight. She said, “all this talk that goes on behind the scenes needs to stop. Sitting there and trying to throw me under the bus to try to hurt her is not an appropriate thing.” Brandi and Stephanie were feuding at the time. and Brandi had found solace in LeeAnne’s friendship, of all things. Stephanie said that she intended to protect Brandi and make sure LeeAnne didn’t “do anything nasty to her,” to which LeeAnne responded, “and I haven’t done anything nasty to her, unlike you.”

Stephanie wanted to talk to Brandi and was suspicious that LeeAnne had not evolved as far past her “knives for hands” days as she claimed. She suggested as much to Brandi. When LeeAnne asked that she bring her issues directly to her, the always reasonable Stephanie from RHOD apologized for hurting LeeAnne. LeeAnne wasn’t having it, responding, “you're not sorry. You see how quickly it rolls off your tongue.” A very frustrated Stephanie. who wanted to get through LeeAnne’s interruptions to speak to Brandi, said in her interview: “ I know she’s dressed like a wiener, but she’s acting like a d*ck.” Eventually, Stephanie and Brandi found the time and the place to resolve their issues and wipe the slate clean, as per D'Andra Simmon's perspective.

From spitting out beer and jumping in pools to poop jokes and utter nonsense, Stephanie and Brandi cornered the market on partners-in-crime shenanigans. As Brandi said, “she farts a lot," referring to Stephanie. Long before the RHOD star's racist video surfaced, the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Brandi brought dance moves and enthusiasm, despite a historically challenging marriage. Where she has always found refuge was in her platonic love life with Stephanie. Stephanie hailed from a small town in Oklahoma but enjoyed getting spoiled by Travis Hollman while living her new life in Dallas. However, he didn’t always respect her. She said, “I’m not having my voice heard, and it’s something that he knows is important to me.” While off duty from domestic rearing, Stephanie and Brandi overcame the stresses of being wives and mothers with their playful banter and drinking games.

The constant laughter on RHOD often seemed to erupt out of nowhere and come from Stephanie and Brandi. One of the funniest moments between them was yet another poop joke in Stephanie’s backyard. Stephanie pointed to her son and said, “he’s going around picking up dog turds and tossing them in the pool with his bare hands.” The hilarity of his actions prompted Stephanie to not intervene, even after Brandi said she’s not going into the pool. Thankfully, no poop emerged while they shared a bubble bath or while Stephanie rode Brandi down a snowy mountain. However, Stephanie did say that she “just peed herself” in her snow pants. Despite the pair's ups and downs, Brandi was lucky to have Stephanie in her corner when an extremely racist video surfaced of Brandi making fun of East Asian people.

Down in Mexico, Brandi and Stephanie had the idea to prank RHOD society woman D'Andra by hiding a gigantic sex toy in her purse. Stephanie said, “this is amazing and kind of disturbing” and “it has a pee hole and everything.” D'Andra wisely pointed the dildo straight at Brandi and Stephanie, noting that this must be their doing. After deciding to put it on the table as a centerpiece, Kameron Westcott chimed in. She was mortified and disturbed. As the toy hung limply, Kameron said that this is not what you do on vacation. After that, Brandi suggested that they pass it around as the “share your feelings wiener.”

Brandi asked LeeAnne (with the sex toy in her face), “are you horny right now?” LeeAnne answered, “yes I am.” Once she made it to Kameron however, the games were over. Kameron said, “oh my god this is so disgusting, no no that’s not coming near me no." This would not be the last time that Kameron from RHOD labeled her costars "disgusting." Kameron went on to label Brandi disgusting in her interview as well. Brandi's bathroom humor and Kameron's classy and arguably prudish nature never did blend. This didn’t stop Brandi from chasing Kameron around the beach, whipping the dildo around, Inigo Montoya-style. Brandi joked in her interview, “it is after your vagina,” holding up her hand with the now-imaginary sex toy on Kameron. Kameron surmised, “this is girls gone wild, limited edition, Brandi does Mexico.”

If one thing is for sure, it's that the women of Dallas have had a long road of side-gripping hilarity behind them. Despite their recent cancellation due to an increasingly fabricated RHOD cast and plot, true Bravo fans won’t soon forget the ups and downs throughout the seasons. The authentic natures of many of the cast members undoubtedly made for some of the funniest content across the franchises. While the franchise’s popularity has waned in recent years, these amusing moments will go down in history. From LeeAnne’s often unhinged antics to Brandi and Stephanie’s epic “shemance,” The Real Housewives of Dallas has staying power in fans' funny bones forever.
