Big Brother: Mike 'Boogie' Must Pay Dr. Will Over $20K In Stalking Case
Mike "Boogie" Malin must pay his former Big Brother alliance member Dr. Will Kirby over $20,000 in his stalking case. Mike and Will first met during the second season of the reality series. Throughout the season, the two became nearly inseparable. Together, they formed the infamous "Chilltown" alliance. The two returned to compete together during Big Brother season 7.
Mike later competed on the show one last time during season 14; however, this was his first time not playing alongside his duo companion, Will. After his time on the show came to an end, Mike began to focus his attention on his career in the restaurant industry. As his career hit its peak, Mike began to find himself in some legal trouble. In 2014, Mike was being sued by different business partners while also being faced with a $10.5 million judgement. Then six years later in 2020, he was arrested for a DUI.
Most recently, Mike was found guilty of stalking Will back in June. At the time, Mike was sentenced to a two-year probation period. It was also stated that Mike would be forced to "make restitution" with Will, but an amount had not been revealed at the time. Now TMZ reports that Mike must pay Will over $20,000 with 10% interest. In addition to this, Mike will also have to pay $20,745 to Will's attorney. Aside from the hefty lump sums Mike will have to pay, he is also still ordered to stay away from Will due to the latter's restraining order on him.
The drama between the infamous Big Brother duo began back 2019. At the time, both Mike and Will were approached with an offer to return to reality TV as a duo for a different show. Will, who was actively growing his career in dermatology, declined the opportunity. Mike, on the other hand, was all for doing the show; however, since Will had declined it, his offer was no longer valid. It sent Mike into an uproar. This is when Mike allegedly threatened Will and his family, which prompted Will to get a restraining order on Mike.
Will is not the only Big Brother alum who has had issues with Mike in recent years. After news broke of Mike being found guilty to stalking Will, Janelle Pierzina accused Mike of harassing her. She claimed that she was forced to block Mike's phone number because he would not leave her alone. Hopefully, now that Mike is on a two-year probation, he will no longer be harassing or stalking any of his fellow Big Brother alumni. Despite it being an overall unfortunate situation, Will can now not only feel safe again but will also soon be receiving a large sum of money.
Big Brother 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm on CBS.
