90 Day Fiance: Fans Roast Brittany For Disrespecting Islam & Jordan Culture
Many 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans are slamming Brittany Banks for intentionally disrespecting her boyfriend, Yazan Abu Hurira's religion and cultural values. They are calling her attention seeker, "toxic," and "an entitled b*tch."
Despite having some reservations about returning to Jordan, Brittany has arrived in the country with the same bold and American frame of mind. She has also been joined by her friend, Angela, who seems quite considerate of Islamic customs and beliefs. The duo decides to go out for a stroll in a local Jordanian market. But, Brittany receives major flak from a few passersby for wearing a low-cut, cleavage showing top. A man said, "haram," meaning a "sin" in Arabic. Without caring much about the dangerous consequences, The Florida native Brittany snapped back by calling the man "sin." When more people began noticing them, they felt uncomfortable and left the market. Remember, during Brittany's first visit, Yazan flipped out when Brittany brought alcohol with her. She did the same thing again and took Angela to a shady bar. It was extremely unsettling to watch her getting tipsy while being surrounded by conservative Mulsim men.
Although Yazan decided not to argue with her and let go of the situation, many 90 Day Fiance fans are dragging Brittany for being inconsiderate of Islam and Jordan's culture. A Reddit user trolled her by saying that she is pretending to be a feminist icon on-screen. But in reality, she only wants to annoy her 24-year-old boyfriend and test his patience. Another fan argued that it's fine if she doesn't like conservative Muslim culture, but she doesn't have to stomp "all over it just because you're convinced you're so much more 'enlightened.'" Another 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way viewer wrote, "She's doing same sh*t again and again, she isn't even that pretty for that matter, she's average girl, with boobs and toxic personality." Another one called her a "brat" and said, "She just wanna p*ss Jordanians off." Others think that she isn't in love with Yazan but only wants to be on a reality TV show to boost her rap career.
Some have even suggested that Yazan should consider dating Angela, who seems much more respectful and considerate of his country's culture. Well, the 26-year-old rapper could take a few wardrobe tips from another 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Jenny Slatten. She is trying to embrace Indian culture and sporting Indian outfits in every other scene. Too bad Sumit's parents can't get over her age.
