Why did they not remake The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011 Fincher version) into another trilogy? It was absolutely amazing.

I just got finished watching it and wow. Rooney Mara was amazing. I thought the cast in general was spectacular. Holy shit Skarsgard can really play a villain! So, why didn’t this spawn a full reboot of the trilogy? I would love to see them make the other two movies even this many years later. What do you guys and gals think? Could there actually be plans for it still? Is it worth watching the original trilogy? I know, I’m sitting here talking about a reboot when I haven’t seen the original, how silly of me. 🤷‍♂️

Edit: Fuck it, I’m going back to watch the 2009 version. I got nothing else to do.
