TV News: HBO Max, Friend, She-Ra, Ramy

HBO Max
Days after announcing that HBO Max will be available on Apple TV and iOS devices at launch on May 27th, WarnerMedia has announced a similar distribution deal with Google. Said deal will put HBO Max on Google platforms and devices including Google Play; Google Chromecast, Chromebooks; Android TV and Android phones, tablets and devices at launch.

At launch, current HBO NOW subscribers on Google Play will be able to log in and access the HBO Max app at no additional charge. HBO Max customers will be able to subscribe directly in the app. HBO Max will also be available via YouTube TV, Charter and AT&T’s wireless and pay-TV platforms. [Source: Deadline]

HBO and RAI have renewed their drama series “My Brilliant Friend” for a third season. Based on Elena Ferrante’s bestselling book series of the same name, the third season will follow the third book “Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay” and continues the tale of Elena Greco and the most important friend in her life Lila. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Netflix has debuted the first full trailer for the fifth and final season of the acclaimed animated adventure series “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power”. In the new episodes, the ruthless Horde Prime has arrived and without the Sword of Protection and She-Ra, the Rebellion are facing their toughest challenge yet. The fifth season is set to premiere on May 15th.

Ramy
Hulu has premiered the first trailer for the second season of its Golden Globe-winning dramedy “Ramy” with co-creator and star Ramy Youssef as a first generation Egyptian-American living in a politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. In the new season he befriends Mahershala Ali’s religious figure to help guide our protagonist on a spiritual journey. The second season is set to premiere on May 29th.
