She-Hulk Gets New Weekly Release Plan & Premiere Date On Disney+

Though initially lining up with previous Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has gotten a new weekly release plan and premiere date on Disney+. Jessica Gao, the Emmy-winning scribe behind Rick and Morty's "Pickle Rick," is helping usher the Marvel heroine to her live-action debut as the Head Writer of the series. Orphan Black alum Tatiana Maslany is leading the cast of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law alongside Jameela Jamil as rival Titania, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga, Jon Bass, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Tim Roth, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Wong and Charlie Cox.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will center on Jennifer Walters, a single attorney in her 30s who finds her life upended when some of her cousin, Bruce Banner's blood, interacts with hers, transforming her into the powerful She-Hulk. While navigating her newfound powers and life as a hero, Jennifer will also find herself propelled into the spotlight as a lawyer handling cases involving superhumans. With the recent conclusion of Ms. Marvel, audiences have been anxiously awaiting the next chapter in the MCU with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, but will now have to wait just a tad longer.

With She-Hulk: Attorney at Law now having a weekly release plan of Thursday, it becomes the first MCU show not to air its episodes on Wednesdays on Disney+ since Loki saw the studio shift away from its original Friday release plan. Though it wasn't specified as to why its premiere date and release plan is movie, it could be speculated that it stems from Ms. Marvel's struggle in the ratings on the streaming platform, which launched as the least-watched MCU series to date. Unlike She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, however, the Iman Vellani-led show had to compete with the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi which, despite divisive reviews, was considered one of the most-anticipated shows of the year, as well as The Boys season 3, which itself saw some inconsistent viewership despite widespread acclaim.

After some divided feelings over the show's CGI in early trailers, anticipation for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has grown in recent weeks with footage showing off more finished VFX, Jennifer's fourth-wall breaks and her interaction with multiple MCU returning characters. The biggest draw for many MCU fans has been the confirmation that Charlie Cox's Daredevil will return, with star Tatiana Maslany teasing that fans will be "very happy" and both lead director Kat Coiro and Gao hinting he may have a bigger role in the series than some expect. Only time will tell how the show fares with viewers when She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on August 18.
