Hugh Neutron Joins The Cast Of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
Hugh Neutron of Jimmy Neutron fame is finally available in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, allowing players to take down the competition with the wacky antics of the pie-loving father of a Boy Genius. Last October, developer Fair Play Labs launched a cartoon-filled competitor to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that gave players access to a colorful cast of Saturday morning mascots as they engaged in frantic 2D platforming battles. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was well-received upon release thanks to its solid roster and gameplay, paving the way for even more brawlers like the recently released MultiVersus.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl already featured a large roster that drew upon the beloved cartoon-centric channel’s rich history upon release, with the expected Nickelodeon mainstays like SpongeBob SquarePants and Invader Zim joining more unexpected additions Garfield and the surprisingly overpowered Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. DLC has promised even more cartoon combatants for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, including the titular Rocko Rama from Rocko’s Modern Life, and the mechanical Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot - and now the third of these announced characters is live in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.
Earlier this week, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl North American publisher GameMill Entertainment announced that Hugh Neutron from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius is now available to download, as shown in a trailer on the official GameMill Entertainment YouTube channel. This pie-loving, duck-collecting suburban dad fights with a wacky lightweight combat style that attacks enemies with fast-paced dance moves and a wide assortment of pies, bananas, and motorcycles. Hugh can also fly like a duck across short distances and strike down enemies with the art of Duck-Fu. Original voice actor Mark DeCarlo will reprise his role, just as other voice actors did once All-Star Brawl added spoken dialogue back in June. Furthermore, Hugh Neutron comes with a brand-new, pie-themed stage and an alternate costume, all of which can be purchased as an individual content pack for $4.99 or as part of the larger Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Universe Pack Season Pass for $11.99.
Mark DeCarlo won’t just be lending his signature jaunty voice to Hugh Neutron in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, as he and Jimmy Neutron co-star Debi Derryberry will be hosting an independent Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl creator tournament live on YouTube tonight, featuring an assortment of popular YouTube and Twitch personalities as they compete in an All-Star Brawl tournament. Some have speculated that Jimmy Neutron himself could join his father as a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and Derryberry's involvement in this upcoming tournament event could be a sign that she may reprise her role as Jimmy in the game somewhere down the line.
In the meantime, Hugh Neutron remains one of the Jimmy Neutron franchise’s most popular characters thanks to his wacky personality, and this looks to be on display front and center through his playstyle in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Fighting game fans who grew up laughing at Hugh Neutron’s antics can now purchase and download him as the latest playable character in Nickelodeon’s hit platforming brawler.
