After languishing in development hell for over 15 years, Uncharted hit theaters to generally poor reviews from critics for its lackluster story, script and miscast performers, though Holland still saw some positive reception for his performance. Despite the bad reviews, the film proved to be a hit with audiences and the box office, grossing over $357 million against its $120 million at the box office. Uncharted's box office success kept Holland at the top of the box office for two months after Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Though the film has already become a box office hit, it will be interesting to see how Uncharted performs on home media. With the cast and crew expressing interest in coming back for a sequel and Sony already labelling it as a new franchise, the Blu-ray and digital sales won't be quite as vital to securing a sequel greenlight, but will help solidify the studio's faith in the future. Only time will tell when Uncharted hits digital platforms on April 26 followed by physical shelves on May 10.
