The Flight Attendant Season 2 Teaser Trailer Reveals Cassie's New Life
The Flight Attendant season 2 teaser trailer highlights Cassie’s new life. Based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name, The Flight Attendant premiered in November 2020 on HBO Max. The adaptation took shape as Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) wakes one morning with a severe hangover and little memory of the evening she’d spent with Alex (Michiel Huisman). Doing her best to go about her routine as normal and return to her job as a flight attendant, Cassie is horrified to find Alex’s murdered body next to her in bed.
A hit with both critics and audiences, The Flight Attendant season 2 was renewed quickly after the season 1 finale. Picking up where the first installment left off, a sober Cassie lives in Los Angeles while moonlighting as a CIA asset. The series has added to its cast, notably selecting Sharon Stone as Cassie’s estranged mother, Lisa Bowden.
But while fans have seen bits and pieces of the episodes to come, a new teaser offers a clearer preview of what audiences should expect when the HBO Max dramedy returns. Shared by HBO Max, The Flight Attendant season 2 trailer shows Cassie struggling to maintain her sobriety. This proves to be easier said than done, given that the character is pulled in several different directions. At one point, Cassie is seen in her “mind palace,” this time sparring with another version of herself that’s all too willing to make destructive mistakes. The Flight Attendant season 2 will stream one weekly episode after its debut, until its May 26 finale. Other than trying to stay on the path of making good choices, Cassie will find herself becoming a witness to yet another murder. In the process, she will sometimes go a little too far beyond her reach as an asset. This will lead her handler, Benjamin Berry (Mo McRae), to remind her of what she can and can’t do. Along with Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, and Rosie Perez will all be back to reprise their roles from season 1. T.R. Knight, Yasha Jackson, and Audrey Grace Marshall will also all return in a recurring capacity.
There remains worry, in the eyes of some fans, about whether The Flight Attendant season 2 will be able to recapture its initial surprise-hit magic, particularly as it veers so close to the same premise of Cassie witnessing a murder accidentally. But the teaser trailer doesn’t dwell on that aspect, perhaps a testament to the fact that Cuoco’s performance is the main draw. And, if the preview proves to be correct, the Emmy-nominated actor will have a lot to work with.
