Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Renewed By Bravo For 2 More Years

Bravo's beloved late night talk show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen has been renewed for two more years. The show made a name for itself back in 2009 with Andy Cohen's trademark salacious interview style, hot topics and plenty of drama. Since then, the show has only grown in popularity and has racked up its fair share of meme-worthy interviews and jaw-dropping moments. Cohen, who also is an executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise, has made a name for himself as someone celebrities trust to spill all the tea.

Cohen's Watch What Happens Live was in the middle of its 17th season when in March 0f 2020 the talk show host contracted COVID-19. The show had to take a brief hiatus before coming back, this time from Cohen's own apartment. They resumed filming in their Manhattan studio in October 2020, and unfortunately in December of 2021, the cast and crew had to do it all over again. Cohen got COVID-19 for the second time but seemed to recover quick enough to ring in the new year with Anderson Cooper on CNN's New Year's Eve Live.

Following all the stops and starts, THR reported that Bravo is renewing Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen for two more years. The series was just starting its 19th season when the news was announced. "My WWHL team rose to every challenge of the pandemic, and getting to do WWHL for two more years is the ultimate reward," Cohen said in a statement. By the time their renewal is over, Watch What Happens Live will have aired on Bravo for 15 years.

Cohen has been the host as well as a producer on Watch What Happens Live since its inception in 2009, making him one of the longest-running late night hosts around, only rivaled by people like Jimmy Kimmel, who has been hosting his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, since 2003. Cohen's presence is a main reason why the show has garnered so much success, as his host persona differentiates the show from other, more serious late night talk shows.

Bravo's Watch What Happens Live has always been in on the trends. The show's staying power is massive given the hold Cohen has on pop culture. His ability to make even the shyest of celebrities dish out and feel safe enough to speak their minds is unparalleled. No matter what Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen has in store for the future, one thing is certain: the next two years will be interesting.
