RHOC: Jen Armstrong Faces $250,000 Lawsuit Over Alleged 'Medical Battery'

The Real Housewives of Orange County newbie Dr. Jen Armstrong is having a rough start to the new year after being named in a six-figure lawsuit. The 44-year-old, who joined the Bravo hit series for season 16, is in hot water after allegedly providing less-than-stellar services. Seeking a whopping $250,000, the plaintiff in the case accuses Dr. Armstrong’s inadequate care of causing mental anguish.

Although fans were surprised, the RHOC ladies knew of Dr. Armstrong before welcoming her onto the show. Offering medical and cosmetic dermatology according to her website, Dr. Armstrong has been featured in dozens of publications with awards to match. A friend of ex-housewife Brauwyn Windham-Burke, the mother of three has treated several of her co-stars, bringing her closer to the inner workings of the cast. Dr. Armstrong met and hit it off with Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter before the other women, particularly getting close with Simpson. As Emily's plastic surgeon, Dr. Jen Armstrong showed before-and-after photos of the star online last August.

Despite Dr. Jen Armstrong’s rapport with those in "small town" Orange County, her Newport Beach practice is less than paradise. In court documents accessed by Radar Online, Californian Terri Litzkow is seeking compensation against Armstrong, a Donald Woo Lee, and Armstrong’s business Advanced Skincare Medcenter. Citing breach of financial duty and medical battery, Litzkow claims that she received treatments from Dr. Armstrong between 2017 and 2021. After Dr. Armstrong switched cosmetic treatment products, Radar Online reports, Litzkow began experiencing facial pain. Reassuring the woman that “Dr. Lee” would fix the source of her pain, Litzkow was treated by Donald Woo Lee. The problem? Woo Lee reportedly surrendered his medical license in 2019.

Litzkow is not the first to accuse Dr. Armstrong of malpractice; last year, Radar Online reported that the upcoming reality star used her RHOC paychecks to pay off a previous lawsuit. Accused of breaching her contract with Pawnee Leasing Corporation over unpaid equipment, Dr. Armstrong gave the company $60,000 just weeks before the premiere of Bravo's longest Real Housewives installment. Waving goodbye to 2021 on Instagram, Jen Armstrong looked elegant in a long-sleeved black dress. Holding a drink and facing away from the camera, another shot of her whole family showed the five with all smiles on the beach. Saying the year has "been real, dude!" Dr. Armstrong's NYE post reflects her lack of public comments in any of these cases.

Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is currently airing on Bravo after starting up again last month. The additions of Dr. Jen Armstrong, Noella Bergener, and friend Nicole James have been met with praise from fans, while Kelly Dodd has been busy fighting with Andy Cohen since being let go. With drama unfolding on and off-screen for this medical practitioner, viewers are interested to see how her interactions with the housewives—and her patients—develop.
