The neo-noir thriller features a star-studded and talented cast, so it comes as no surprise that people recognize them from other projects. From portraying English monarchs to punk computer hackers, the actors in Nightmare Alley have earned numerous accolades for their impressive work, including Emmys, Tonys, and Academy Awards.

Ron Perlman portrays Bruno, a strongman at the carnival. Bruno specifically keeps an eye out for Molly and, as often in del Toro's movies, portrays a sympathetic if physically intimidating figure.

Perlman has featured in many big projects like Hellboy and has collaborated in several del Toro projects like Pacific Rim and Cronos. His most notable project is Sons of Anarchy, in which he plays Clay Morrow, one of the members of the motorcycle club. He had one of the most appearances in Sons of Anarchy, showing up in 6 seasons of the acclaimed drama.

Collete has become one of the most sought-out actresses in the last two decades, appearing in films like Knives Out and The Sixth Sense (which she was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress). Horror fans remember her as the grieving mother in Ari Aster's Hereditary. It is not surprising that Hereditary is one of Collette's best movies since she showcases a jaw-dropping and award-worthy performance that many people still recall to this day.

Richard Jenkins portrays the wealthy elitist Ezra Grindle. Unlike Kimball, Grindle is wary of Stan's abilities as a psychic. Eventually, he confides to Stan his darkest memory regarding his lover and unborn child.

Strathairn has been in the industry for over four decades, appearing in movies like Nomadland. Like many actors on this list, he also has an Oscar nomination as Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck. One of his memorable projects is The Bourne Ultimatum. McCallany appeared in movies like GreenlandThree Kings, and Fight Club. However, he found himself in a leading role as Bill Tench in the psychological crime thriller, Mindhunter. In the series, Bill works for the FBI in the Behavioral Science Unit, in which he interviews infamous murderers to uncover their psychological motives and develop a profile. Mindhunter is perhaps one of Netflix's most brilliant yet underrated TV shows that will surely blow viewers' minds. However, viewers may have to watch other shows like Mindhunter since it is on indefinite hold for a potential season 3.
