The Voice: Gwen Stefani Shows Off Vera Wang Dresses She Wore For Wedding
The Voice's Gwen Stefani is showing off photos of the two wedding dresses she wore for her wedding with Blake Shelton. The couple got married over the July 4 holiday weekend on Shelton's ranch in Oklahoma. They flew in her parents from Los Angeles for the small, intimate wedding. The singers first met on the set of The Voice when Stefani became a coach in 2014. They started dating in 2015 during her second season on the show. Shelton proposed last fall, about a week after The Voice season 19 premiere aired.
This is not the first marriage for either singer. Stefani married Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale in 2002. They have three sons together: Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. Lately, Zuma has been following in the Voice coach's fashion footsteps by releasing an eyewear collection. Stefani and Rossdale separated in 2015, mere months before she started dating Shelton. The country music singer has been married twice before. His second marriage was to fellow country star Miranda Lambert, but they got divorced in 2015, not that long before Stefani and Rossdale split up.
Now that The Voice coaches are married, Stefani has taken to Instagram to show off the two wedding dresses she wore for the big day. Both were designed by none other than famous fashion designer Vera Wang. Some of the shots look to be official wedding photos, including one of Stefani and Shelton standing next to what appears to be a rock cliff, and one with her kids. Another photo shows them kissing next to their cake. Wang revealed on Instagram that the couple's names, as well as the names of her three kids, were hand embroidered into the hem of the veil. The second outfit was dubbed the "party dress" by Stefani, so she likely wore that for the reception. Check out some of the photos below:
The Voice host Carson Daly got in on the action. He officiated Stefani and Shelton's wedding, and posed for photos with the couple afterwards as well. In one of the photos, Shelton and Daly can be seen making funny faces as Stefani holds up a bouquet of flowers. In another photo, the husband and wife are holding their arms up in the air while Daly gives two thumbs up. Daly said on Instagram, "So honored to get to marry two of my favorite people on earth."
When Stefani got married to Rossdale, the two hosted a large wedding with over 100 people in attendance. This time around, Stefani opted for a smaller guest list. It's unclear if that decision was largely a result of the pandemic or if she simply wanted a more simple wedding this time around--or even a combination of the two. But even though the wedding was smaller, she still went all out with her dresses, not to mention the gorgeous location at Shelton's ranch. Now that they are married, it wouldn't be surprising if NBC decided to bring Stefani back to The Voice next year so that they can compete against each other again, this time as wife and husband.
