RHOC: Braunwyn Windham-Burke Opens Up About Her Biggest Regrets

Braunwyn Windham-Burke is revealing her biggest regrets from her time on Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County after she was fired from the show earlier this summer. She held an orange for two seasons before being let go, and managed to make a lot of waves. In her first season, Braunwyn found herself completely unable to find her footing with a few cast members, most notably Vicki Gunvalson. Vicki was not a fan of Braunwyn's openness about her more sexual side, and her seemingly constant need to bring up her sex life with her husband, Sean. Vicki didn't think RHOC was that kind of a show, and Braunwyn claimed that was a hypocritical statement.

Season two introduced fans to a newly sober Braunwyn, who was dealing with a lot in her personal life. She shared on the show what her life was like while in quarantine, and how it helped her realize she needed to make a change. Fans became unhappy with Braunwyn after she shared how she treated her husband when she was drinking, calling her behavior abusive. She also lost fans for the way she treated newcomer Elizabeth Vargas after she admitted to snooping through her financial records. Braunwyn's excuse was that Elizabeth's stories weren't adding up and she wasn't being authentic. She felt she needed to get to the truth in order for her and the rest of the cast to have more than a surface level relationship with Elizabeth.

Braunwyn is now opening up about her biggest regrets from her two seasons on RHOC. As US Weekly reports, Braunwyn doesn't regret much, but there are a few fashion choices she wishes she can take back. Looking back on the trip to Rodeo Drive with the ladies, Braunwyn says she wishes she wore another outfit. Fans will remember she broke down crying on the double decker bus while wearing an orange Hawaiian style shirt with a sun visor. She jokingly stated that if you are going to break down crying on a Housewives show, you have to do it while wearing something designer. Braunwyn also wishes she can take back that infamous makeout scene with Tamra Judge, and hopes her kids somehow don't see that in the future. Lastly, she regrets certain conversations she had about her sobriety while off camera, rather than saving them until cameras were rolling.

Besides those few things she wishes never happened, for the most part, Braunwyn says she can look back on her time on the show in a positive light. She is most proud of the fact that she was able to stay both kind and sober. Braunwyn admits if she had done things differently, she may have been given the opportunity to return, but claims not to have any major regrets because of the program she is in to stay sober. The program has taught her not to look back and dwell on your past because living that way won't provide any space for growth. She acknowledges the fact that everything in her past led her to where she currently is in her life, which is over 500 days sober, so she really doesn't regret anything. Lastly, Braunwyn credits the show for helping her stay sober, expressing her gratitude to the fans for helping her stay accountable through it all. She claims she never would have been able to stay sober had it not been for the show.

It doesn't seem like Braunwyn's life is getting any easier. First, she was fired from the show, and then her former co-stars start speaking about her in the press. She announced her separation from Sean, and finally, she's being accused of facing eviction and skipping out on three months of rent. She also came out as a lesbian and had fans call her activism performative. That is a lot of stress for anyone, especially a recovering alcoholic. Hopefully, Braunwyn will be able to stay on the sober train, at least for the sake of her seven children. She has found a solid support system to keep her in check now that she doesn't have The Real Housewives of Orange County to hold her accountable anymore.
