Loki Director Jokes About Making A Miss Minutes Slasher Movie

Loki director Kate Herron jokes about someday making a slasher movie centered on TVA mascot Miss Minutes. The first 6 episodes of Marvel's third Disney+ series featured plenty of surprises for both fans and Tom Hiddleston's Loki. In picking up with the 2012 Loki who escaped with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame, the series got to explore new sides to the fan favorite God of Mischief as he found himself plunged in a new mystery involving an alternate version of himself (Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie) and the Time Variance Authority.

Loki season 1 introduced fans to several memorable and surprising characters, from Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) to Classic Loki (Richard E. Grant). There was even an Alligator Loki, much to the delight of everyone everywhere. One of the odder characters featured in Loki had to be Miss Minutes, the animated clock who serves as spokesperson and data holder for the TVA. Miss Minutes had a small role within the series, but she made her mark with her chipper, Southern attitude and a rather surprising jump scare from Loki episode 6. There were even times when fans wondered if she could be the true villain of the series.

The Miss Minutes scare sparked endless memes online following the finale's premiere, and it's led to the amusing concept of a horror movie based on the character. At the tail end of her interview with THR, Herron was told she should absolutely make a Miss Minutes slasher movie if she ever returns to the MCU. Herron replied with a laugh, "I would love to! That would actually be my dream."

Though Loki will return for season 2 at some point in the future, Herron has already confirmed she will not direct it. As a result, the visual style for the series might be a bit different in future episodes. It remains to be seen if other key members of Loki's creative team will sign on for season 2, but it's certain that in front of the camera, Hiddleston will be back to continue telling the titular trickster's story. One can assume characters like Sylvie and Mobius will return as well.

As for Miss Minutes, her future is a bit less clear. Though Sylvie sought to end the TVA by killing He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), Loki's final moments confirmed the organization is still alive and somewhat well, and is grappling with an oncoming multiversal war. Through her short appearances, Miss Minutes always seemed to hint she knew more than she was letting on, and that could be explored in season 2. Loki will need answers, and who better to give them than the TVA's ever present helper? As Loki episode 6 reminded viewers, Miss Minutes can appear when you least expect her to. Be prepared.
