Every New Domain In Genshin Impact 2.0 (& What Their Rewards Are)
The Version 2.0 update for Genshin Impact has a lot of new content, including playable characters like Ayaka, 5-star weapons like the Mistsplitter Reforged, and huge chunks of the nation of Inazuma to explore. This also means plenty of new Artifacts to acquire, side quests to undertake, and world bosses to take on in combat. Because the new Inazuma region has finally arrived, there are also a lot of new Domains for players to unlock, undertake, and explore alone or with friends. Here are the new Domains included in Genshin Impact's 2.0 update.
As usual, players will need to meet certain requirements, like completing prerequisite quests or reaching a specific Adventure Rank, in order to access the new Domains. Inazuma is full of some major new areas in Genshin Impact to explore, like Narukami Island and Kannazuka, but Domains offer their own rewards and challenges. A few of them are also a great source of repeatable content once players have finished up the current storyline and are waiting for the next update.
So far, six new Domains have been officially confirmed by developer miHoYo and added into the Version 2.0 update. Each Domain is a part of Inazuma with their own interesting lore tidbits about the history of the island nation. While a few of these Domains are unlocked by completing the quest, "Ritou Escape Plan," other one-time Domains are found through exploration and completion of other quests instead. For those looking for new dungeons to undertake in Genshin Impact's co-op mode (or completely solo), and for anyone wanting to know more about their prerequisites and rewards, here's everything to know.
For players looking for a rare desert aesthetic in Genshin Impact, the Domain of Forgery: Court of Flowing Sand may be interesting. Located near Mt. Yougou, it can be unlocked after reaching Adventure Rank 30 and completing the "Ritou Escape Plan" quest. Players who undertake this Domain can get Weapon Ascension Materials like Mask of the Tiger's Bite, Narukami's Joy, and Jeweled Branch of a Distant Sea on a rotating basis. However, the materials that drop depend on the day of the week. Distant Sea materials drop on Mondays and Thursdays, Narukami items drop on Tuesdays and Fridays, and Masks drop on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Domain of Mastery: Violet Court is more in line with Inazuma's look and culture in Genshin Impact. Like the Court of Flowing Sand, Violet Court is unlocked after the "Ritou Escape Plan" quest and once players are at Adventure Rank 30 or higher. However, the rewards are quite different. Players who undertake the Violet Court can earn Talent Level-Up Materials like Guide to Transience, Guide to Elegance, and Guide to Light. Again, the materials that drop in the Domain are different depending on the day, so some strategy will be required before diving in. Transience items drop on Mondays and Thursdays, Elegance items drop on Tuesdays and Fridays, and Light items drop on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Domain of Blessing: Momiji-Dyed Court is also unlocked after Adventure Rank 30 and completion of the "Ritou Escape Plan" quest. While the Court of Flowing Sand is aimed at Weapon Ascension materials and the Violet Court has Talent materials, Momiji-Dyed Court offers players chances to get new Artifacts in Genshin Impact. This includes pieces from the Shimenawa's Reminiscence and Emblem of Severed Fate Artifact sets.
For players looking to find and equip new Artifacts, Momiji-Dyed Court will be a must-play. With its crimson leaves and colorful ruins, it's one of the more beautiful Domains in Inazuma, too. And since its available at Adventure Rank 30, players should be able to access it quickly after reaching the new island nation and finish the necessary quest.
In addition to the three Domains unlocked via the "Ritou Escape Plan" quest, three more one-time Domains are available for players to access via exploration in Inazuma. Players will still need to be Adventure Rank 30 or higher to get into the Empty Boat of a Thousand Gates, a Domain that's unlocked after getting the Momento Lens. Rewards include Electro Sigils as well as Primogems, which are often hard to come by in Genshin Impact, so exploring the Empty Boat of a Thousand Gates is definitely worth the trouble.
Before getting into the Shakkei Pavilion in Genshin Impact, players must first reach Adventure Rank 32, making it a bit harder to reach than the previous Domains in Inazuma. This one-time Domain can be found by shooting a Kamuiji cannon to blast the rocks covering up the entrance. This old mansion has a bit of a haunted house vibe, and players will have to take on multiple Fatui members inside. Rewards for Shakkei Pavilion include Primogems and Electro Sigils, too.
The Formation Estate Domain is arguably the most difficult of the new one-time Domains to unlock in Genshin Impact Version 2.0. To get inside Formation Estate, players will need to be Adventure Rank 35, which means this Domain has the highest required Rank in Inazuma. Players will also have to clear the rainy weather as part of the Orobashi's Legacy questline. This is a three-part questline, which means it can be time consuming, as well. The rewards found in Formation Estate include Electro Sigils and Primogems, arguably making it worth all the effort.
Although future Domains will likely be included in Genshin Impact 2.1 and beyond, these six new dungeons still offer players some great repeatable content and rewards. As new areas open up around Inazuma, more Domains should become available as well. Currently, it's unclear if other areas (and Domains) in Inazuma will open up in Version 2.1, or if miHoYo will wait to release some of the other big Inazuman locations later on. In the meantime, players can enjoy tackling these six Domains in Genshin Impact 2.0 alone or with friends in co-op mode.
