Where to find Dream Solvent in Genshin Impact | Screen Rant
The more players explore Genshin Impact’s open world, the stronger their characters become. Not only are they gaining more experience points from fighting monsters or through combat manuals, but they’re enhancing their characters using the materials they find throughout Teyvat. Each character has different resources they need to ascend to the next tier of levels, as well as leveling up the talents they use in battle. However, it can sometimes be a little difficult to acquire the necessary materials.
If fans want to improve the abilities of their favorite characters, they’ll need to battle the bosses which drop the right materials. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees that players will get the item they wish for. For example, while the mighty Dvalin has a chance to drop Dvalin’s Plume, an item that characters like Diluc need for their talent upgrades, it might drop Dvalin’s Claw instead. Because these bosses can only be fought once a week, it might take a while for players to collect the right materials. Enter the Dream Solvent, an item added during the 1.5 update that’s used to convert boss drops into other talent level-up materials.
The weekly bosses found in Teyvat drop a variety of different loot upon their defeat. The Dream Solvent is one of them, but just like the other treasures, whether a boss yields it is completely up to RNG. While this useful item isn’t commonly dropped, it isn’t impossible to find either. Most Genshin fans should already be acquainted with them, but for those new to the game, the bosses that drop items compatible with the Dream Solvent are Andrius in Wolvendom, Azhdaha in Nantianmen, Childe in Liyue Harbor’s Golden House, and Dvalin deep in Stormterror’s Lair. Alternatively, adventurers who complete the second act of Zhongli’s story quest, No Mere Stone, can receive a Dream Solvent as a reward.
To use Dream Solvents, head to any crafting bench; there’s one in Mondstat, next to the general goods store near the fountain, another in Liyue Harbor, next to the easternmost teleport waypoint, and a third in Albedo’s Dragonspine campsite. After accessing the bench, select the ‘convert’ option by pressing the symbol on the top of the screen. From there, players can scroll down to the list of talent level-up materials and find the one they wish to obtain. So long as at least one of the boss’s dropped level-up materials is in an adventurer’s inventory, they can obtain one of the other two using the Dream Solvent! For instance, Dvalin’s Claw can be used to create Dvalin’s Plume or Dvalin’s Sigh, but not Childe’s Shadow of the Warrior.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices.
