10 Biggest Arguments On Gossip Girl | ScreenRant
If there's one thing audiences have learned about life in the Upper East Side from Gossip Girl, it's that friendships can end as quickly as a new relationship can start. In the Gossip Girl friend group, everyone dated each other at least once, everyone fought each other, and yet they all remain in the same circle no matter what.
Throughout the seasons, viewers witnessed plenty of fights, and as the seasons went on things became even more intense. There's no doubt that Gossip Girl is full of drama, lies, and schemes, but out of all of the massive arguments on the show, which ones were the most memorable?
10 When Dan Punched Chuck In The Face
In the first episode of the show, Chuck was undoubtedly a predator. He pushed himself onto Dan's younger sister Jenny, even though she was clearly resisting him.
After Dan received a text from Jenny stating she's with Chuck, Serena convinced him that the two should go help her. When Dan found Chuck making out with his sister, this resulted in the first major fight of the show, as Dan didn't hesitate to hit Chuck.
9 When Chuck Slept With Jenny
Chuck's one-night stand with Jenny couldn't have happened at a worse time, as it was the night Blair was ready to tell Chuck that he's the one she wanted to be with.
After she found out that Jenny had been in his bed that night, Blair was heartbroken and abruptly ended things with Chuck, which took plenty of time to mend. Her anger didn't end there, as she then banished Jenny from entering Manhattan, which marked Jenny's exit from the show.
8 When Serena And Blair Wanted To Go To Yale
After Serena managed to gain attention from the Dean of Yale, the university of which Blair always dreamed of attending, Blair's competitive nature kicked in. Blair insulted Serena by telling her that she couldn't get into Yale even if she tried.
Blair's comment only fueled Serena's desire, as she then accepted an invitation to meet the Dean. All of this tension over Yale resulted in the girls getting into a real fight, and nearly ending their friendship.
7 When Chuck Traded Blair For A Hotel
When Chuck gets the chance to own the hotel he's always wanted to have, he proves to his uncle Jack that he's willing to do anything for it.
His uncle tells him that if he lets Blair spend a night with him, then the hotel is his, and Chuck agreed to that offer. Everything seemingly goes perfect for Chuck, until Blair finds out the truth of what he did. All of Chuck's plans blew up in his face, as Blair proceeded to break up with him afterward.
6 When Blair Got Revenge On Serena
The drama of Blair and Serena's rivalry in season 1 really set the feel of the show and let the viewers know that Blair is vengeful and doesn't forgive easily.
After Blair found out the true reason that Serena left Manhattan was that she slept with her boyfriend Nate, Blair took it upon herself to make Serena's return home as terrible as possible. All of this blew up at a college meeting when Blair humiliated Serena in front of college representatives before the two finally made up.
5 When Ivy's True Identity Was Revealed
After the Van der Woodsen's found out that Ivy Dickens was pretending to be their family member Lola Rhodes, they no longer wanted anything to do with her.
Things got even more steamy after it was revealed that CeCe left Ivy all of her inheritance, leaving Lily without her apartment. After Lily sabotaged Ivy and got her home and money back, the relationship between the two ended up on even worse terms, with Ivy vowing to get revenge.
4 When Georgina Blackmailed Serena
Georgina was notably Serena's number one rival in season 1, but all she wanted was to be friends with her. When Serena decided that she didn't want a friendship with Georgina, she didn't take it well.
Georgina proceeded to blackmail her with a videotape from a wild night the two shared that resulted in someone's death. This caused major conflict between the group, with Blair and Chuck intervening to save Serena from Georgina's treacherous plan.
3 When Lily Tried To Control Serena
Being Serena's mother, it was inevitable that Lily would get into some hefty arguments with her daughter over the course of the show.
Many times, their fights stirred from the fact that Lily tried to take too much control over her daughters' life, as she cared about their public appearance too much. When Lily found out that Serena was having an affair with Nate's cousin Tripp, she threatened to kick her out of their home, causing major tension between the two.
2 When Dan Wrote A Book
Dan Humphrey had a passion for writing on the show, but when he wrote a hit novel chronicling the lives of his friend group, Serena was left feeling pretty upset when she realized she was painted as a villain in his book.

His other friends were also unhappy with the way they were pictured in his novel, which left them all angered with him. Things blew up at Dan's party when everyone decided to cut him out of their lives for good.
1 When Bart And Chuck Fought On A Rooftop
Bart Bass has done a lot to ruin his son's life, which led to the two having a severe argument on a rooftop that quickly turned into an actual fight.
This argument was caused by the fact that Bart wanted to send his son away to Moscow and separate him from Blair. Out of all of the fights on Gossip Girl, this one was probably one of the most dramatic because it led to Bart Bass falling off the rooftop.
