American Idol: What We Know About Luke Bryan's Wife Caroline Boyer

Luke Bryan, one of the judges on American Idol, has been married for almost fifteen years to his wife, Caroline Boyer, who goes by Lina. While she doesn't have a job in the spotlight, Caroline keeps herself busy raising her and Luke's two sons, as well as their nephew, whose parents passed away when he was a teenager. Her funny side should not be overlooked, and one visit to her Instagram page will reveal her wacky sense of humor.

Before Luke Bryan was selling out stadiums and critiquing contestants on American Idol, he was a student at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. That's where he met Caroline Boyer in the fall of 1998 at a bar called Dingus Magee's. Caroline told People magazine their relationship started off slowly, revealing, "He was always a gentleman. We hung out as friends first and he never made a move on me. I kissed him first! He was always so scared of making a girl feel uncomfortable, he wouldn’t cross a line." Luke and Caroline broke up, but five years later they reconnected when they both happened to be in Statesboro at the same time. Caroline invited Luke to her family's Christmas party, and, as Caroline told People, "the rest is history."

Caroline Boyer, now Caroline Bryan, was born on New Year's Eve, 1979. She is 41 years old and lives in Tennessee on a spacious farm. She and Luke also have a beach house in Florida. Caroline started her own non-profit organization, Brett's Barn, in honor of her niece who passed away. It is a living memorial to Brett, and the organization works with local charities to bring children to visit the farm and play with the animals. She also supports The Brett Boyer Foundation, which her brother and sister-in-law started in honor of their daughter. Caroline is raising two sons, Bo and Tate, who are ages 13 and 10. She also took in her nephew Til, 19, and nieces Jordan, 25, and Kris, 22, after their parents passed away.

Caroline's sense of humor really shines through on her Instagram, @linabryan3. One particularly amusing video on both her Instagram and TikTok shows her ordeal with a giant turkey named Al, who bit her leg. Caroline shamelessly rocked crutches and a limp while getting a tetanus shot at the local pharmacy, but assured her followers that Al is still alive...and still "an assh*le." When she's not fending off farm animals, Caroline enjoys a good boat ride when Luke is in the mood for fishing. But she has admitted she is not a fan of her husband's long and laborious hunting trips, which are back in swing now that Luke recovered from COVID-19 earlier this year.

Caroline was the breadwinner when she and Luke reunited, and her career gave him the chance to make something of himself. Now, Caroline has been able to create a thriving home life even while her husband is busy filming American Idol. She may be starring in a country reality show soon if the rumors of her filming something in Nashville end up being true. Luke and Caroline seem to make a perfect pair, and that's not just because they post cute selfies together. They share the same sense of humor and both have big hearts. And, of course, they both love country music.
