Schitt's Creek made a big bang on the small screen, and fans were head over heels for the hilarious, relatable, and dynamic characters that it had to offer. Of course, there isn't a doubt in anyone's mind that two of the best were the sibling duo: David and Alexis Rose.

Both grew immensely over the course of the show, but both offered hilarity and wholesome content that every viewer couldn't help but love. However, it's time to pit them against each other, and see why each of them has a shot at being crowned the fan-favorite of the show.

10 David: His Iconic Sweaters

While Moira might just lead the fashion category with her unique wigs, David stands out among the rest because he's always sporting some unique, bold, and stylish sweater. For those that aren't into fashion, he might seem a bit outlandish, but it's still a lovable quirk.

His outfits are a huge part of who he is as a character, and fans can't help but wait and see what new and outrageous sweater he's going to wear each episode. He's confident in his style, and it's unlike anything else.

9 Alexis: Her Dresses

Where David has his sweaters, Alexis has her dresses. Each and every one seems more stunning and adorable than the last, and it's one thing that also represents the personality and character of Alexis Rose. It's hard to picture her in anything but a beautiful dress.

From summer to fall, she's rocking every new fashion trend. Despite just being a fashion icon, her wardrobe makes her a fan favorite because it actually offers a lot of insight into who she is - especially as she grows over the series.

8 David: He Knows His Limits

David definitely has confidence, but he's also more relatable and lovable in the sense that he knows he has limitations. He knows he might not be the kindest or the most flexible, but he makes it work with the skills he does have.

Fans don't get annoyed with David because they know exactly what to expect from him. His strengths outshine his flaws, because he knows exactly what each of them are. For someone who can be a little pompous, fans admire how much he knows himself.

7 Alexis: She's Totally Herself

Alexis has confidence coming in waves, and it actually might be one reason why fans love her so much. Her self-esteem and her outlook on life is actually really admirable, and most fans think of Alexis as a great role model for loving themselves.

This character is a shining star, quite frankly, and she's always looking her best and feeling her best. She is authentically herself, and doesn't care who hates on her. It makes her admirable, but it also makes her really fun to watch on the small screen.

6 David: His Sarcasm

There might not be anything as hilarious as David's sharp wit and sarcastic comments, and it makes him the funniest character as well as a total fan favorite. From calling out Alexis' unhealthy behavior to saying what's on everyone's mind - he's relatable and hysterical.

David isn't afraid to speak his mind, and it's usually a little dive into what's on the minds of the viewers watching, too. His facial expressions are hilarious in their own right, and it's a perfect match with his sarcastic and snide comments.

5 Alexis: Her Honesty

David might respond to other characters with sarcasm, but Alexis definitely relies on honesty. She doesn't beat around the bush, but she likes to say exactly what is on her mind - with no hint of sarcasm in the matter. She's blunt, and it can be pretty hysterical as much as it is relatable and entertaining.

Iit's also a pretty redeemable quality of Alexis'. She grows to learn what is actually hurtful to say, but she's still that friend and family member who can be honest about everything. It keeps fans laughing and also offers some wholesome moments.

4 David: His Wholesome Moments

This might seem broad, but every fan should know exactly the moments where David actually becomes vulnerable, and is totally wholesome. From crying on the hood of his car with Stevie to buying a house or watching Patrick sing for the first time, he's a pure soul.

David is always making people laugh, but his tender moments might just be one of the reasons fans love him as much as they do. It breaks everyone's hearts to see him cry, but it totally humanizes him as one of the best characters on the show.

3 Alexis: All Her 'Boops'

Alexis definitely struggles a bit more to express her serious emotions, especially when it comes to caring for others or being selfless. Of course, her little trick is just 'boop' them on the nose - and it's her best expression of love.

From giving a little tap to Twyla when they say goodbye or to her mom when she realizes they will be apart, Alexis and her 'boops' are both absolutely hilarious and totally pure. Fans will never forget her 'booping' David right before she walks him down the aisle.

2 David: He Grows From Being The Black Sheep

David kind of describes himself as the black sheep, despite being pretty loved by his family. However, it was a little tricky at first for fans to get on board with David Rose. He's sassy, flamboyant, and a bit distant from others. However, David grows a lot over the course of the series.

His relationship with Patrick blooms into one of the best romances in sitcoms, and he finally realizes that he doesn't need to be rich or live in New York to be 'better'. He finally accepts himself, and his growth into just being a funny and kind guy definitely makes him well-loved by fans.

1 Alexis: She Has The Biggest Character Arc

Fans can all agree that David grows for the better, but there might not be anyone with an arc quite like Alexis Rose. She starts off being quite selfish, completely materialistic, and very ignorant about all the people around her. By the end, Alexis is refusing money from Twyla and starting her own life as a publicist.

Beyond that, Alexis lets others in, and she's actually incredibly selfless and caring. Alexis was fun to watch at the beginning, but she's a fan favorite because fans got to watch her grow into a really remarkable character that they can't help but love - and fans will truly miss her.
