Animal Crossing Flower Wreaths Made In Real-Life By Crafty Player

A crafty Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has managed to recreate all of the flower wreaths from the game in real life. Flower wreaths are just some of the many DIY recipes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (made using DIY recipes and flowers grown on one's island), and these particularly cute items can be used as wall-mounted decorations inside the player's home.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out in March of 2020 and seemed to be the perfect game for a world entering a global pandemic. As COVID-19 lockdowns swept the globe, many individuals turned to gaming as a means of coping with the unpleasant situation and satiating their social needs. Animal Crossing: New Horizons provided a relatively unique form of escape and thus became incredibly popular. Since then, the game's popularity has seemingly grown the point where now fan art and other crafty creations have become a major player in the community, as it with other popular game franchises.

Unlike more traditional forms of fan art, however, Redditor Lallen_J decided to recreate real-life versions of all the flower wreaths in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Specializing in replicating video game flowers, Lallen_J managed to recreate all 26 flower wreaths from the game in the span on one month using handmade silk flowers. According to some of the user's replies to commenters, each wreath ranged in difficulty, with some only taking a few hours to construct while others, such as the hyacinth wreaths, took a few days.

Much of the reaction to Lallen_J's work was overwhelmingly positive, with many commenters in awe of the fact that it only took one month. Some asked if these beautiful wreaths are for sale and, as it turns out, they are. Lallen sells many of their flower recreations on an Etsy page, which can be found through an Instagram link in the Reddit thread. The wreaths are apparently brooch-sized and come with pins on the back by default. Lallen has also recreated items from other popular Nintendo games, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This is an incredibly unique type of fan art because of its tangibility. Most fan art, no matter how impressive, is usually a drawing that is shared over the internet. These flower wreaths from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, meanwhile, are actual items that can be held and used. It is not easy to do something like this and this talented deserves every bit of credit for their beautiful work.
