The Voice: Everything To Know About Chloe Hogan From Team Legend
Chloe Hogan has been a standout and fan-favorite on The Voice. Viewers rooted her on after she was saved by John Legend and switched over to his team following her start on Team Gwen. The Orlando native has wowed the judges and impressed onlookers with her renditions of Billie Eilish, SWV, and others.
Her blind audition performance to Jackie DeShannon's "What The World Needs Now Is Love" had the judges amazed. Gwen Stefani was the first to turn her seat around and appeared in awe of Chloe's smooth and powerful singing ability. She went on to become a part of Team Gwen and continued to receive praise from the panel along the way. "I'm so excited Chloe," Gwen told her after her first performance. "You're so cool. I can't believe you're only 20. When I turned around you looked like a full woman." Fans began to look forward to seeing her hit the stage each week.
She has been singing for as long as she can remember after being gifted a piano for Christmas as a child, according to NBC. It was then when she taught herself how to play by ear and started signing soon after. After attending a specialized magnet school for chorus, the songwriters relocated to Nashville where she currently studies music business at Belmont University. With music in her heart and soul, Chloe spends her free time teaching Black Music in America to kids online. She reportedly does it as a way to give back as well as empowering the future generation of music makers.
As a music artist, she released her first two singles just last year. The songs "Why" and "Lips Like Cherry Wine" helped land her a coveted spot in Belmont's annual Best of the Best concert. Though the event was postponed due to the pandemic, Chloe has kept her vocal skills strong by competing on The Voice. She has shared her the dichotomy of her voice and her original songwriting ability is what helps set her music apart from others. Her confidence in her unique style has only grown as a result of being on the hit competition reality show.
She recently took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the response she's received since competing on the series. "When I look back at tonight, and see the love and kindness being poured out for me and my Voice Family on this show tonight I am assured that The Future is Bright," she captioned a recent photo slide on Instagram. Chloe Hogan is absolutely right about the brightness of her future in music.
