Southern Charm: Why Does Thomas Ravenel Think He's Important To Show?
Fans of Southern Charm are curious to know why Thomas Ravenel thinks he's important to the show, especially when he no longer is a star on the franchise. Fans have happily moved on and are embracing the new cast, but Thomas still thinks he's a crucial character in the series.
Fans last saw Thomas on the show with his girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, whose mission was to take down Kathryn Dennis. Now, he wants sole custody of his children amid allegations Kathryn has been going through a drug crisis. The disgraced South Carolina treasurer made a comeback on the show with a one-episode appearance, where he was shown sharing his home with the mother of his two children, Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3.
Shortly after his cameo on the popular show, Thomas decided it would be in his best interest to slam the cast and the franchise. In a since-deleted tweet, the father of two let everyone know exactly what he thought of the newest season saying, "Is the show THAT BORING WITHOUT ME? Please move on and leave me the hell alone." The Charleston native went on to tweet, "I'm sorry your cast is that weak. I'm gone. Live with it!!" Fans of the show are a little confused as to why Thomas believes he is missed, since all he did was gaslight Kathryn into thinking she was losing her mind. It would seem his 15 minutes of fame went straight to his head.
The former reality TV star also decided to tweet a challenge to his fellow cast members over Thanksgiving, writing, "If the cast of Southern Charm pledges 500 turkeys to the Food and Beverage Industry so hit hard by the plague, I'll match them and we'll make it 1000. @ShepRose @C_conover @AustenKroll, et al. They can go to the first 1000 F&B at Whole Foods." Sadly, his last-minute effort didn't pay off, as stores had run out of turkeys. But he still kept the Christmas spirit, saying "Bad news: Because it's so last minute I can't get even multiple stores to find me nearly enough turkeys. One store only had 4 and another 11, et cetera so I'm still going to do it but for Christmas!" See the tweet below:
It is apparent Thomas misses the cast and show more than they may miss him. This season has already proved to be a milestone event, as Leva Bonaparte will shortly be calling out Kathryn for her white privilege. The coronavirus pandemic has also taken its toll on the beachfront city, and fans will be able to watch as they rebuild.
Southern Charm airs Thursday at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
