My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Why Whitney Is Struggling With Self-Loathing
Fans of My Big Fat Fabulous Life are starting to realize Whitney Way Thore is struggling with self-loathing after her breakup. The usually positive dancer is finding herself in a rut after the very public split.
By now, most fans know Chase Severino broke Whitney's heart by cheating on her with an old flame. While many viewers have called out the suspicious timing of the Paris proposal and have even gone so far as to accuse Chase of being paid to bring in more ratings, Whitney has stood by her ex. She has even asked fans to leave him alone on social media while she cleans up the mess he left behind.
The reality star recently opened up to cameras, saying she was “feeling hatred” towards herself. To make matters worse, the couple had not been communicating during their entire trip, and Whitney lost her engagement ring in the water. Fans worried as they watched Whitney hyperventilate on the beach while Chase sat in silence and looked angry. Whitney's self-loathing stemmed from the fact that she was mortified about losing her ring in the ocean's waves. Chase didn't help and instead told cameras the situation was “messed up.”
The admission of hating herself was new for fans who are used to Whitney being very comfortable in her own skin. She has made it her life goal to inspire others while on her own journey of self-love and has made programs to teach others how to love themselves. Self-confidence was never an issue for Whitney until now – until Chase. Like many others, Whitney is also under tremendous stress to keep her parents healthy during the worldwide pandemic. Whitney is not only trying to convince her followers, but also herself that she is ready for new adventures in her life, but that just does not seem to be the case. She has a fractured relationship with her best friend Buddy, and, at times. their friendship almost seems on the brink of ending because of how Chase felt about their close bond.
Sadly, there is more turmoil to come and fans can only be there to support the star so much before she needs to start picking up herself and moving.
