Cyberpunk 2077: How Long Until Keanu Reeves (Johnny Silverhand) Appears
Excitement was already high for Cyberpunk 2077, but then Keanu Reeves showed up to global applause and the hype has never been the same. Cyberpunk 2077 is the newest open-world RPG from CD Projekt Red, the creators of The Witcher 3 and other classics. There's a lot to do in the bustling futuristic setting of Night City, but how long does it take for players to actually reach Keanu Reeves' character, Johnny Silverhand?
Johnny Silverhand is the frontman of the punk rock band Samurai. With his cybernetic features, Johnny Silverhand serves as some nice anti-establishment inspiration for players. This means he's one of the more important characters in the game, so it makes sense developers would want a famous face to go with the rockstar - and CD Projekt Red didn't disappoint. Cyberpunk 2077 made headlines when it was revealed Johnny Silverhand would be played by beloved actor Keanu Reeves.
As V, players are a mercenary trying to find an implant chip that's the key to immortality. Naturally, the story will bring players to Keanu Reeves' character early on. But, just how soon can players expect to bump into Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time?
Night City, the primary setting of Cyberpunk 2077, is a sprawling megalopolis. The city has an incredible density, full of side missions, story quests, items to find, and mini-games to play. Even in Cyberpunk 2077's initial chapters, there's plenty for players to do. Because of this, the actual time it takes to meet up with Johnny Silverhand will vary; however, most players should expect to reach Keanu Reeves' character in around six hours.
Early in the game, there's not nearly as much to do in later chapters, and completing the main story is a major focus at the beginning of Cyberpunk 2077. Even players who get distracted with some light exploration will still probably encounter Johnny for the first time in under ten hours, although a lot of players may end up speeding through the content in order to meet up with Keanu Reeves' character quickly.
In hindsight, it's hard to imagine Cyberpunk 2077 without Keanu Reeves. The actor has helped boost the project in incredible new heights, and has even stated he's played the game and loves it. So, it's certainly understandable that so many people want to find him in the game - and as quickly as possible. Thankfully, most players should expect to reach Johnny Silverhand within the first six hours of Cyberpunk 2077.
