A question about E.T. the Extra-Terristrial.
I don't really have an idea about how the US laws work, but won't Elliot and his friends be arrested and trialled for rescuing an alien from the authorities and sending him back to his planet, when the scientists wanted to do experiments on him?
I don't think there are any laws specifically for aliens, so can they be claimed as government property? If yes then I think a case can be made against Elliot and his friends in the court, as they stole a government property.
What do you guys think? Can Elliot and his friends be jailed for rescuing ET from the police?
