Salma Hayek Teases Upcoming Reshoots For ‘The Eternals’
Many Marvel Studios productions like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Shang-Chi were in the middle of filming before the worldwide pandemic put everything on hold. This also caused a shift in Marvel Studios’ slate with Black Widow taking The Eternals‘ November spot and the latter moving to February 2021.
Before the pandemic, The Eternals wrapped up filming in the United Kingdom. However, since reshoots are a standard procedure for Marvel Studios films, it’s expected that The Eternals would try to get them in once it was safe for productions to do so before its new release date. It was also recently revealed that Jurassic World: Dominion would be among the first films to restart production in the United Kingdom after the government signed off on new safety rules. It now looks like The Eternals might be heading back for reshoots based on a recent Instagram post from Salma Hayek.

“Marvel Studios’ The Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.
Directed by Chloé Zhao from a script written by Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo, The Eternals stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayak as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Angelina Jolie as Thena. Kit Harrington was cast as Dane Whitman.
