Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 10 Questions From The Star Wars Movies The Series Answers

The end of The Clone Wars marks the end of an important and fantastic era in Star WarsThe Clone Wars does so much throughout its seven series to build on, expand, and improve the canon, particularly of the prequels, and is an absolute joy to see all of these things coming together in such high-quality television.

One of the ways in which the series takes the canon and improves on it is by answering various questions that are presented by the movies and either not answered, or not answered to the fullest extent, and we look at some of those here.

10 What Was The Role Of The Kaminoans?

The Kaminoans got hired as the ones to engineer the clones and have them trained into a suitable army for the Grand Republic as we see in Attack Of The Clones. However, we are never made aware of their role and knowledge of Palpatine's plan of the clones.

The Clone Wars lets us know they were responsible for the inhibitor chips and well aware of their purpose, and in Fives' crucial arc, they did all they could to hide the evidence of the chip's real intent from the Jedi.

9 Did Anyone Else Feel The Same As Count Dooku?

The prequels reveal to fans that Count Dooku was once a Jedi who left the Order, and it was because of the ideals of the Jedi Order, and the direction in which they were headed, he was frustrated with them.

The Clone Wars reveals that this was not a one-off occurrence. As well as the knowledge that Qui-Gon had a similar mindset in terms of the Council, Jedi, like Barris Offee, is revealed to have fallen away from the Jedi. Out with the series, Eeth Koth does the same.

8 What Happened To Sifo-Dyas?

Attack Of The Clones reveals that former Jedi Sifo-Dyas was the one who initiated the creation of the clones from the Kaminoans, but we do not get any more information on him other than that he is dead.

The Clone Wars reveals that Count Dooku ordered the Pike syndicate to shoot down and kill Sifo-Dyas, and so he and his master took over the creation of the clone army, hiring Jango Fett as a genetic template.

7 How Did Regular People Feel About The Jedi & The War?

The prequel trilogy does not dive into the regular people in the Galaxy, or ever really show them. But if you watch the prequels and see all the war that is going on, it does make you wonder about how they feel about the war and the Jedi.

The Clone Wars reveals that a lot of the citizens of the Galaxy have become disillusioned by the Jedi, frustrated by the war, and fallen into the trap of Palpatine's grand scheme. It is a hard lesson Ahsoka has to learn in season seven.

6 Does Anyone Find Out About Padmé & Anakin?

Padmé and Anakin get a hard bargain in the prequel trilogy, not exactly living up to its "Across The Stars" music. But, it is an immensely important romance and one that is hard to believe that was known about by nobody.

The Clone Wars reveals that Captain Rex is very much aware of the two's relationship, helping them hide it. On top of that, "I hope you at least told Padmé I said hello." let fans know that Obi-Wan was also pretty clued in.

5 Did Anyone Know Palpatine's Plan?

As he usually is, Palpatine is amazing in The Clone Wars, and so many details of his grand scheme are explored in the show as well as many times where it was painfully close to being found out.

The prequels make you wonder how much people knew about his plan. Nobody knew to the full extent. Maul knew most of it all, except for Order 66 and his role in the plans, while Dooku seemed to know pretty much everything except for perhaps the most crucial aspect, Anakin Skywalker.

4 Do Any Clones Not Succumb To Order 66?

Order 66 was such a sudden action. One minute Cody and Obi-Wan are talking like friends as well as general and commander, and the next, without hesitation Cody is blasting at Obi-Wan.

It makes you wonder if any clones formed such a bond with their Jedi counterparts that they did not take part in Order 66, or managed to resist it. It seems as though this is not the case, as, even despite fighting it, Captain Rex fell under the Order.

3 What Makes The Clones Turn?

The big mystery related to the sudden turn to come out of the prequels was what exactly made the clones turn. It could have just been obedience to orders they were told about, but that would have been a bit of a flat explanation.

The Clone Wars reveals that, in fact, the clones were given inhibitor chips by Order of Palpatine and Tyrannus. These chips pretty much brainwashed the clones into slaughtering the Jedi, leading to heartbreaking content.

2 Did Anyone Ever Uncover The Secret Of The Clones?

The prequels give the impressions that the clones know about Order 66 as just a basic protocol order, but, of course, The Clone Wars shows this not to be true, so begs the question if any clone finds out about it early?

That question gets a heartbreaking question in season six when, after Tup's chip malfunctions, Fives uncovers the secret of it all and is killed before he can properly reveal it. However, he managed to tell Rex and Anakin something, and at the end of season seven, it is revealed that Rex has some high suspicions, as detailed in his report.

1 Is There More To Anakin's Turn?

The prequels centered around Anakin Skywalker's fall to the Dark Side of the Force but left a lot of people thinking that there must have been more to the entire turn.

The Clone Wars showed this to be very true with Anakin's fall having so many more layers. There is Ahsoka and her leaving the Order, getting pushed by people like Tarkin and Palpatine, the frustrating nature of the Jedi High Council, Mace Windu's general attitude, and a plethora of other things that went down across seven seasons.
