“Uncharted” Was Shut Down On First Day

Tom Holland has revealed that the long-gestating film adaptation of “Uncharted” had literally just begun its first day of shooting in Germany when the studio shut it down due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

Holland made the reveal earlier this week during an Instagram live chat with Justin Bieber, the “Spider-Man” actor telling the pop star: “We went for day one – I’m doing this movie called ‘Uncharted,’ which is based on a video game – and we showed up for our first day of shooting and they shut us down. I was in Berlin, so I had to come home and now I’m back in London.”

The casting of Holland as a much younger version of the game’s treasure hunter character Nathan Drake has raised the eyebrows of some of the fanbase who will also likely get even more annoyed now as Holland also reportedly inferred that this seems to be more of a working gig for him: “I played the video games and I got into shape, but that’s about it. It wasn’t heart and soul on the line for it.”

One can’t be mad at Holland though, the actor’s shirtless ‘upside down t-shirt’ challenge has been the talk of social media this week and can be seen below:
