‘Avengers’ Star Dave Bautista Puts On The Mask As Bane For Cool Fan Art
Dave Bautista is no stranger to superhero roles. The actor first appeared as Drax in the 2014 James Gunn film, Guardians of the Galaxy. The wrestler would go on to reprise the role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. When James Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Dave Bautista was the most outspoken critic of the decision and openly questioned his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of it.
James Gunn would eventually be rehired for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 but not before he took a new job at Warner Bros. directing The Suicide Squad. Dave Bautista apparently met with James Gunn over a possible role in the film that apparently didn’t pan out. The internet was quick to assume that the Avengers star would be taking on the role of Batman villain Bane and many took to the internet imagining what he could look like as the supervillain.
Recently digital artist Mizuri revisited what Dave Bautista could look like as Bane, giving the character his iconic mask as well as showing off a new edit of Tom Hardy’s Bane from the 2012 film, The Dark Knight Rises. You can see the full images below:
