Could “Buffy” & “Firefly” Come To Disney+
It appears as if the Disney+ streaming service could be adding more mature content in the near future if the questions of a newly leaked user survey are anything to go by.
The survey, which has since been confirmed multiple times to be real, includes a poll asking users to rank how likely (from ‘Definitely Would Watch’ to ‘Definitely Would Not Watch’) they’d be open to seeing shows like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Firefly,” “Modern Family,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Black-ish” and “Malcolm in the Middle” on the service.
The survey’s obvious aim is to see if the majority of people would be okay with more adult-friendly content being added to the streaming service in the future. The list is still relatively tame though, sticking only to network fare from both Disney’s ABC properties and shows like “Buffy” and “Firefly” which were produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Even so, the list does at least allow for some more adult themes in its shows like sexuality and drug use which saw them rated 14+ on TV.
One big question is if “Buffy” is included, will it be a proper and freshly done HD remaster as opposed to the infamously terrible one the property previously received that is often cited as the textbook example of how to screw up a remaster.
