Spider-Man: No Way Home Toy Shows Doctor Strange's Multiverse Spell

A new Spider-Man: No Way Home toy features Doctor Strange conjuring the multiverse spell. Fans have anxiously awaited the third and final film in the Tom Holland Homecoming trilogy since the end of 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home left things on a big cliffhanger. After defeating Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and experiencing the beginnings of a relationship with MJ (Zendaya), Peter's identity is revealed to the world.

Marketing material for No Way Home has already shown fans a little of what's to come in the upcoming Spider-Man film, with Peter being shown enlisting the help of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to reverse the life-altering identity reveal. Doctor Strange dabbles with dangerous magic and casts a spell that doesn't exactly go as planned, unleashing a multiverse upon Peter's world. Peter then has to contend not only with his differences with Doctor Strange, but also with a host of villains from past Spider-Man films, including Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), and Electro (Jamie Foxx).

A new toy from Sideshow shows Doctor Strange in the midst of casting his multiverse spell. The 1/6 scale figure stands at about 12.2 inches tall and features movie-accurate facial features, 30 points of articulation on the body, and an array of accessories, including nine different hands, a light-up LED platform, "The Box," and various orange mystic arts effects. The figure is currently available for pre-order and costs $315. Check out images of the Doctor Strange figure below:

The collectible carries a hefty price tag but is incredibly detailed, right down to the stitching in Strange's Sorcerer Supreme outfit and Cloak of Levitation. Not only that, but the array of accessories also adds a great degree of variability to the toy, meaning it can be displayed in an array of positions and poses. Trailers for No Way Home have already hinted that the spell-casting scene will be a visually stunning and crucial event for the film, but the toy reinforces that, even though this is a Spider-Man movie, Dr. Strange will play an important role.

For hardcore Marvel fans, the Dr. Strange collectible certainly seems like a must-buy. While Dr. Strange's mystic arts magic is hard to display in static, toy form, the accessories do a good job of capturing the orange glow and tendril-like appearance. The Sideshow store also features a number of Spider-Man figures, meaning one could display the two figures together, possibly even re-enacting one of the scenes from the movie, as one of the figure's promotional images shows. Fans don't have long to wait now to see Dr. Strange and Spider-Man in action, with Spider-Man: No Way Home hitting theaters on December 17.
